Does
drinking water help in reducing wrinkles? NO! In capital letters, because I am
tired of reading answers that claim the opposite.
Water
is really good for our bodies, but it does not remove wrinkles in any manner,
and propagating this kind of disinformation will only lead to disappointment.
Water
does not act as an antioxidant. Antioxidants, antioxidants, antioxidants...
Okay, I won't go too far with the snark.
Antioxidants
include resveratrol, ferulic acid, vitamin E, vitamin C, niacinamide, and
retinol. Retinol is the gold standard in the realm of skincare. Food contains
resveratrol, ferulic acid, and vitamins E and C.
Red
chili, citrus fruits, potatoes, and many other foods contain vitamin C.
Tomatoes contain ferulic acid, black grapes have resveratrol, and sunflower
seeds contain vitamin E.
Interesting
fact: Sardinia (an Italian island) has one of the world's longest-living zones,
the famed "blue zones." People there are said to enjoy
extraordinarily long lives, thanks in part to their great intake of Cannonau, a
red wine high in resveratrol!

All
of that being said, if you want to reduce wrinkles, use collagen powder, eat
collagen and antioxidant-rich foods, utilize retinol at night, and avoid
smoking. If you wish to have a drink now and then, choose one glass of red
wine. I said "One glass"...don't overdo it!
Use
sunscreen as well to prevent new wrinkles from forming while you strive to
reduce the appearance of those that are already there.
Again,
drinking water is obviously healthy, and we should strive to stay hydrated at
all times. But it never has and never will reduce wrinkles.
People
would not spend money on anti-aging skincare products or considerably larger
sums on plastic surgery if it were so simple.
Moisturizing
and moisturizing the skin helps make wrinkles less visible, however, this is
achieved through skincare products, not by drinking water.
There
is no evidence that drinking water directly benefits the skin because it is
spread throughout the body.
